Elizabeth Taylor dies

Elizabeth Taylor, a legendary actor of British origin, died  today at the age of 79 after treatment for heart failure at a Los Angeles hospital.

It is reported that she died at the hospital in the early morning in the presence of her four children — Michael Wilding, Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd and Maria Burton.

Her son, Michael Wilding, said on Good Morning America: “My mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest with great passion, humor and love… though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contributions to our world.”

Elizabeth Taylor had starred in many award-winning movies in the 50’s and 60’s which had included: “Giant,” “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and “Cleopatra,” which had made her a world-wide sex symbol. That combined with her relationships with famous men, such as the late Richard Burton and Michael Jackson, had made her the focus of constant media attention.

She had also been a fashion and perfumery celebrity and had devoted considerable time and effort in helping victims of AIDS and had raised many millions in donations following the death in 1987 of her good friend, actor Rock Hudson, who had died from the disease.

The actor had been achieved two Academy Awards for Best Actress and had been given the Jean Herscholt Humanitarian Academy Award in 1992 for her contributions in the fight against AIDS.  In 1999, she was invested by the Queen of England as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

“Friday” has over 5 million hits on Youtube

[Music & Song Contributor]

With more than 5,650,114 hits in record time, Rebecca Black’s “Friday”  video is a YouTube sensation.  The song’s lyrics are belted out in rap style and itself is a bewildering array of contradictions that should deny it any popularity. But popular it is – check it out and see. The video producer is Ark Music Factory, a Los Angeles company focussing on developing child stars in quick time. It was started in February by Patrice Wilson and Clarence Jey who are veteran producers.

And finally, a cure for HIV?

According to Mail Online,  HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis and a number of other most deadly infections will probably be in the past soon! That is because, despite what  doctors have made us think over years that the answer to the problem is in weakening the bugs, it seems that the correct answer is to tune our immune system so that it does not go crazy at the onset of a bug invasion.

A series of recent experiments have shown that the immune system is capable not only of keeping the infected body alive, but also of killing the virus completely so that not a trace of it is being left!  AND – how can it be done?.. Not so much by stopping smoking and jogging every day,  just by switching off a gene in our DNA.
