Pippa Middleton to be the ‘bum’ of Hudson Jeans

[Kathy Tomlins, Fashion Contributor]

According to MailOnline, Hudson Jeans wants smoking hot Pippa Middleton to be their next signature model as it seems that the Pippa-crazy designers have been putting out lots of photos of her wearing the tightest of jeans.

Georgia May Jagger, daughter of the wrinkled, but talented, Mick Jagger, is the brand’s current ‘mascot’ model, but since the Pippa phenomenon, the brand is on course to ditch protocol to get Pippa’s bum into their jeans come what May.

AND isn’t there a rumour about that Pippa is to replace Cheryl Cole at US X Factor and may run for President whilst at it?

Pippa, ‘Oh yes, you can!’

Pregnant Posh Spice pictured running after a ball on high-inches-high heels, way to go Posh!

[Samantha Templeton-Brewster, Celebrities Contributor]

MailOnline: Pregnant Spice Victoria Beckham has been apparently caught unawares by the paparazzi in a Los Angeles park, California,  whilst kicking a ball with her six-year-old son in stylishly elegant stilletoed five-inches-high luxury boots.

It seems that the famous footballer’s wife version of ‘quality’ time has very much to do with her elegant apparel rather than more appropriate sports wear bearing in mind her current delicate condition.  The celebrity’s baby is due in July and will be the couple’s fourth child.

France enforces burka law – women arrested

[Alise Benoit, in Paris -France News Contributor]

BBC News: Since France’s law against the wearing of the Burka came into force this week, two women have been arrested for non-compliance. The new law prohibits any woman in France to wear a face-hiding item of apparel, like the niqab, or burka in public places.  Those who do may be arrested and fined by police.

France is the first country to ban the burka which a substantial number of Muslims consider to be religious apparel. The fine for breaking the law is 150 Euros and a citizenship course.  Whilst the ban does not specifically list burkas, it does exempt other forms of face-hiding apparel and because of this, Muslims are feeling victimized.

The exceptions include:-

  • motobike helmets
  • health face-masks
  • sports, or professional masks (eg., those worn by the French secret police it may be assumed)
  • Sunglasses and hats which do not totally conceal the face
  • Sportive, or religious occasions masks.

Check your bra – its 80% likely to be the wrong size for you

[Lois Lanaker, Fashion and Health Contributor]

StyleList: It seems that over 80% of today’s women have the wrong bra size.

According to Kay-Lin Richardson, director of sales and spokeswoman for Panache Lingerie: “A lot of women stick to the number in their head from when they were first fit,”  “They’ll say, I’m a 34 B or a 36 C. I’ve been guilty of that. I couldn’t imagine that I would ever be a D cup because that wasn’t in my head and it wasn’t my size”. She says that the majority of women should understand that their body shape changes all the time and a bra size could be different with as little as a five pound gain, or loss, changing activity patterns and indeed, the ageing process.

Richardson told StyleList:You should probably get fit every year — just go and check in to make sure you’re still wearing the right size …you probably are, but you probably wouldn’t even realize that your bras aren’t fitting anymore because that’s just the way they’ve always fit you.”

According to StyleList, when getting a bra, women should follow these guidelines:-

  • The band: Should be firm against your body to provide most of the support.
  • The shoulder straps: Should not be taking the brunt of the weight. If they’re digging into your flesh, you need a firmer fitting band.
  • The underwire: Should encapsulate the breast and should tack firmly against the body.
  • The look: If the bra fits properly, your nipples should be on the level of the middle of your upper arm and within your arm span.
