Earthquake strikes northern England

Guardian.co.uk: A 2.2 magnitude earthquake struck the English northern town of Blackpool and the Fylde coast in the early morning of April 1st 2011.

Whilst traffic lights and a railway bridge were reported to have been disrupted, no nuclear facilities have been affected.

Many residents complained of the ground shaking and some had been so concerned that the police had been called to investigate.
